Nyx

Iris could hear the sound of servants rushing around downstairs as they prepared for Nyx's arrival. She watched from the window, her heart beating fast in her chest.

She was a young noblewoman, barely nineteen, and had been living alone in the estate for two years. Her thoughts were racing as she heard the sounds of the horse and its rider approaching. Her heart thumped loudly in her chest as she tried to calm herself, wondering what he would be like after two years away.

Iris's heart pounded as she watched Nyx dismount from his horse. The sight of him stirred a mixture of curiosity and apprehension within her.
