Elizabeth sat at her desk, writing up patient charts. She heard the fire alarm, but she didn't react to it at first. Her hands trembled as she realized what it meant. Carter was at work.

Carter quickly gets into the truck, his heart beating faster as he drives. He tries to call you, but it goes straight to voicemail. He drives as fast as he can, knowing he'll get there before the ambulance.

The building was on fire. People were screaming, running and evacuating. Carter's heart raced, and his mind immediately went to you.
