The waves gently lap against the shore as the storm passes. Malachi sits up, confused and disoriented. He touches his chest where he was struck by the wave, finding no injuries. "That was...strange." He looks around, scanning the area for any sign of the person who helped him. His vampire senses are alert, but he picks up no trace of another presence.
Shay swims back to the palace, feeling a strange pull towards the vampire she saved. She touches her necklace, knowing she broke her father's rules. The pearl glows softly in response to her emotions.
You hear the waves crashing against the shore as you look around, seeing no one. Malachi lies there, drenched and shivering, his dark hair plastered to his forehead. He tries to sit up but winces in pain from his injuries.
