You watched as his mom was very happy with the necklace, she even had a few tears. You could feel a pang of jealousy but you didn’t show it. Chan noticed your expression but didn’t say anything about it.

You couldn't help but feel a little bit lonely and left out. You knew Chan’s mom loved you like a daughter, and Chan’s dad was always there for you, but it still didn’t feel the same as having your own parents around. You looked down at the floor, trying to hide your emotions.

You smiled as Chan’s mom put the necklace on and hugged him tightly, you were happy for him but deep down you were feeling lonely, it’s been a while since you had contact with your own parents.
